Sally Ismael
Graduate Student

Sally is a second-year student at the University of California, Berkeley, studying psychology, neuroscience, and health and wellness. She is passionate about researching cognitive abilities and the impact of challenging experiences on brain plasticity, and how these experiences shape our behavior and capabilities, especially in young people. Her diverse experiences in behavioral research and in the medical field have sparked her curiosity about how the mind influences perception and behavior.

Fun fact: I have a twin brother, Jonah, who is also a research assistant in the lab. We do almost everything together :). We are also both professional Taekwondo Athletes who have competed globally in over 12 international opens, including the World Championships. I also enjoy traveling, writing, advocating, and practicing yoga and mindfulness.
