I’m a third year molecular environmental biology major. I’m highly interested in understanding mechanisms in how the brain supports memory, attention, and behavior. I’m especially drawn to questions about pattern separation, competition between overlapping memories, and how changes in neural representations influence what we remember and attend to. I’m excited to take part in research that examines these neural representations alongside behavioral data, allowing us to connect changes in brain activity with differences in memory performance. I also hope this work can provide insight into what happens when memory systems begin to break down in aging and neurological diseases such as Alzheimer’s disease.

Fun fact: I love to fish but am absolutely terrified of unhooking them so I have to wear three layers of gloves.
